It’s Fall Again…

It’s that best time of year again where we get to bring out the pumpkin spice lattes, sweaters and breathe in crisp cool air. But, that also means that our regular activities from outside summer fun need to change as well…

So, what do you do now that the seasons are changing to spend quality time with family this fall?

Here are 7 fun uses for Chinet Classic® plates to spend time with family and get into a Fall Routine that my family LOVES to do each year. (plus, the kids love it too and are entertained for hours. Can I get a BOO-YA!)

Make a Colorful Meal with Family

One of our favorite ways to spend time with family in the Fall is to cook together! Fall brings out the opportunity to make so many different meals with the various colors the season gives. It also means… COMFORT FOODS!

Although cooking with kids can be difficult, try to make it fun by letting them pour in ingredients, mix, or throw down the flour.

You may end up with a huge mess in your kitchen. Scratch that. You WILL end up with a huge mess in your kitchen. But the memories are worth it.

Make Halloween Decorations

Finding activities that you can enjoy with your kids can be a drag when you’ve “done it all” before. One way we like to combat this is by making new decorations for our house each year!

We grab some Chinet Classic® plates, markers, tape, glue, and paint to create spooky ghosts, spiders, and more!

When we made our decorations for this year, we were laughing and playing for hours creating our decorations. Definitely one of our favorite ways to spend time with family in the fall.

Have a Family Board Game Night

I’m gonna be honest here with you for a second… I’m not a huge fan of strategy board games. Playing a game of Risk or Monopoly for 4+ hours and then leaving the table more gruntled than Grumpy the dwarf. I’d MUCH rather play a goofy game of Quelf or Cards Against Humanity since I love a good laugh.

But do you know what the best part about game night is during fall? Snacks and hot chocolate with marshmallows. Throw some snacks into a bowl and sip on some hot cocoa out of a Chinet Comfort® cup and you’ll be set for an amazing fall evening with the family.

Make Animal Masks or Halloween Costumes

Though I can’t say I’m all that excited when my kids start beating me at my favorite games…

Find a new Park or Outdoor area you’ve never been to before

Something we did recently was head up into the mountains away from the hustle and bustle of the town. We packed up a picnic and drove up a nearby canyon to a secluded picnic area where we could eat as a family and enjoy the foliage. Fall is our favorite time of year and we want to experience all that nature shares with us.

In order to make the picnic easy for us parents, we put all of our food into a cooler, snagged some Chinet Classic® plates, and a couple of trash bags. The plates made for easy cleanup since we could simply toss them into the trash right before heading out on a walk by the nearby river. So, grab some food and the fam to find a spot near you for an awesome way to spend time with family this fall.

Spending time with family in the fall is one of my absolute favorite things to do. These activities are always a hit in our household that have created some fun memories throughout the years. I just hope that our kids don’t grow out of wanting to spend time with their cool parents as they get older…
